Overview
The park runs the standard Universal properties alongside things built for Japan, and Super Nintendo World is the reason most first-time visitors come: a walk-in Mushroom Kingdom with a wristband that keeps score as you hit blocks. Capacity is managed by timed entry within the park, and at busy times the area is entered by lottery rather than by queueing. Halloween and the spring holidays are the two peaks.
Highlights
Buy the dated ticket in advance and add an Express pass if you are visiting on a weekend; without one, three or four rides is a realistic day. Arrive before opening — the first hour is worth two later ones. Check the Nintendo area’s entry method on the day, since it changes with the crowd level.
