Overview
The rock is home to a subspecies of wall lizard found nowhere else and to a colony of Eleonora’s falcons, which is why it is closed. It attracts a quantity of magnetic and mystical claims — a third most magnetic place on earth, a fragment of Atlantis — none of which has any measurement behind it, and the island is remarkable enough without them. The best views are from the cliffs at Cala d’Hort and from the Torre des Savinar watchtower above them.
Highlights
Drive to the Torre des Savinar and walk the last ten minutes; the tower is ruined but the ledge below it is the view. Cala d’Hort beach below has the same island straight ahead and a place to swim. Boat trips pass close from Sant Antoni, which is as near as anyone is allowed to get.
