Overview
Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla each had their dress, with colour and headgear marking rank.
Key garments and style
Both sexes wore the jeogori on top, men with baji and women with a chima, and a po over it. Murals such as those of Goguryeo’s Muyongchong show dotted-pattern garments and colour distinctions by rank, and the fine gold crowns of Silla and Baekje are also known.
Transition
Under Unified Silla, Tang court dress was adopted as official wear, layered over the native two-piece form.
